Announcing: Maker in Residence
Temporary Position, 16 hours a week, includes evenings/weekend


The Maker in Residence (MiR) opportunity connects visitors to The Forge at Cranberry Public Library with STEM learning utilizing equipment such as PRUSA 3D printers, a Helix laser engraver, and other resources available in the makerspace. 

The residency includes designated open hours in The Forge allowing the maker to create on-site as visitors drop in, interact and learn about different equipment offered in The Forge. The MiR will also plan and implement special STEM workshops for the public once a month.

Typical Schedule:

16 hours a week for 30 weeks (January – July 2024). Days/times to be determined.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about STEM learning and teaching.
  • Possess skills to teach and share their work and creative process.
  • Thoroughly enjoys working with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative setting.
  • Either have or be able to obtain PA Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, & FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Must be 18+ years or older.

$11.00 an hour; temporary position lasting 30 weeks.
