Culvert Work Going Out to Bid

Pipe

A long-term solution to a problem culvert along Pinehurst Drive is taking shape.

On September 7, the Board of Supervisors gave authorization to bid the Pinehurst Drive Culvert Rehabilitation project.

The project is supported by a Butler County Municipal Infrastructure Program grant and is needed to ensure the road can safely remain open. Inspection found that the existing culvert needs attention, including installing new rebar, patching existing concrete, and applying a sprayed-on material to ensure integrity.

Repair work will ensure a potentially costly total replacement is not needed.

In addition to the Butler County grant, the Cranberry Township General Authority will reimburse the Township for associated costs.
